The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Buford resident Tim Sullivan today has thrown his hat in the ring for the Republican nomination for the Gwinnett County Commission District 4 seat currently held by Kevin Kenerly, who is not seeking re-election.

A Gwinnett resident since 1980, Sullivan said he plans to open government up to the public and restore citizens' trust.

He spent 20 years managing information technology departments for midsize and large companies before joining his wife in the real estate field. Sullivan formed and ran the Hamilton Mill Homeowner Coalition, a group dedicated to preserving the residential nature of the Hamilton Mill Road area. He and his wife Veronica have two grown children.
