Rape charge at Mall of Georgia
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Gwinnett police are investigating a suspected case of acquaintance rape that happened Friday night inside a storage room at the Mall of Georgia.
Police said the man and woman, working at different kiosks inside the mall, were in the storage room because the man asked the 21-year-old Fayetteville woman to help him in there.
Jarvis Demetrius Wiley, 20, of Lawrenceville is being held without bond in the Gwinnett County Jail on one count of rape. Police are still interviewing others to determine if there should be more charges brought, according to a statement released Saturday.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution does not identify sexual assault victims.
