Gwinnett teacher finalist for national award
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Gabrielle Bray, a social studies teacher with the Gwinnett County Online Campus, is one of three finalists for a national award for online instruction.
The National Online Teacher of the Year Award recognizes teachers who have made exceptional contributions to K-12 online education. Judges reviewed 50 nominations from 24 states to select the three finalists. The other finalists are: Teresa Dove from the Florida Virtual School and Steven Sproles from Virtual Virginia.
The award is given by the Southern Regional Education Board, an Atlanta-based nonprofit that advocates for education in Georgia and 15 other states, and iNACOL, the International Association for K-12 Online Learning.
The winner will receive a trophy and an all-expenses-paid trip to the Virtual School Symposium taking place in November in Arizona.
