A 27-year-old man who shot a man during a robbery in Lilburn, then threatened several others at a Lawrenceville house was arrested early Monday, Gwinnett County police said.

Donnie Ray Kidd is charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery. He is being held without bond at the county jail.

According to police, two men were walking to a gas station on Pleasant Hill Road in Lilburn around 11:30 p.m. Sunday when Kidd confronted them. Kidd showed a handgun and demanded their money, police said. When one of the victims moved toward him, Kidd shot him in the abdomen, police said. The other victim handed over his wallet, and Kidd ran away, police said.

About two hours later, officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Five Forks Trickum Road in Lawrenceville. Police said Kidd had threatened several people in the home.  Officers found a 9mm handgun and items belonging to the robbery victims.

Police said they connected Kidd to both incidents through interviews and evidence collected at each scene.

The shooting victim is in stable condition at Gwinnett Medical Center.
