Gwinnett deputies find $11.2 million in cocaine, meth in warehouse
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Gwinnett County sheriff's deputies on Monday confiscated $11.2 million in illegal drugs during a search of a warehouse near Duluth.
Channel 2 Action News reported Tuesday that the sheriff's office got a tip earlier this month about drugs being stored in the warehouse on Peachtree Crest Drive.
When deputies executed a search warrant, they found 264 pounds of cocaine with a street value of $3.6 million and 380 pounds of methamphetamine worth $7.6 million, the station reported.
Jose Romero of Gainesville, Epifanio Sandoval-Hernandez of Athens and Luis Vasquez of Forest Park were charged with drug trafficking and are being held without bond, according to Gwinnett Jail records.
