Free gas, courtesy of Duluth church
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The Fresh Start Church in Duluth is giving away gas at the nearby Shell station this evening.
That's it. No strings attached.
OK, there are a few caveats. The church said it would give $20 in gas to each motorist who pulls into the station, on 2640 Duluth Highway.
And you must be there between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., church officials said.
Why?
‘Tis the season, church officials said. Fuel prices are on the rise, and the recession has put increased pressure on many during the holiday season.
"Just in time for the holidays, the gas giveaway will help ease the strain on people's wallets; this is Fresh Start's way of saying ‘thank you' for allowing us to serve the community," church officials said in a statement.
The release didn't say how much the gas giveaway would cost the church.
