Duluth is graduating its second leadership academy class Monday night.

Twelve people will receive T-shirts after completing the six-week L.E.A.D. Academy. L.E.A.D. -- or Learn, Engage, Advance Duluth -- is a program designed to teach participants about city operations and encourage them to serve on municipal boards or explore volunteer opportunities.

The graduation will be at 6 p.m. at the Parc at Duluth, 3315 Peachtree Industrial Blvd.

The academy is open to all Duluth residents or those who volunteer or work in the city. The next class is slated for September 2010.
