Bright Ideas announces expansion

Bright Ideas Entertainment LLC, a Norcross-based television and film production studio, announced Friday the expansion of its headquarters and production/distribution operations in Gwinnett County. Both the state of Georgia and Gwinnett Chamber's Economic Development division supported the company’s growth.

The company plans to add more than 350 jobs over the next two years, invest $4 million in capital and expand facilities by 78,000 square feet. The company is also celebrating the launch of its new television sitcom, "My Parents, My Sister & Me," which will air at 11:30 a.m. Saturday on WXIA-TV.

Additional television ventures are scheduled for launch over the next two years, company officials said.

“Bright Ideas has maintained a solid and growing business model in Gwinnett and metro Atlanta due to a skilled labor pool and proximity to strong industry-related networks like Turner and CNN," said William Anthony Hollins, CEO of Bright Ideas. "It was common sense for us to remain here and expand as opposed to searching elsewhere.”

Gwinnett County Commission Chairman Charles Bannister said, “Gwinnett and the state of Georgia have worked hard this year to identify and promote the strength and growth of digital entertainment in the region. Bright Ideas is a great testament to that message.”
