Armed robber steals money, leaves sandwich
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
After pulling out a $20 bill to pay for her sandwich, a woman then pulled a gun on the cashier at a Subway restaurant, Lilburn police said.
The woman entered the Subway, located in the 400 block of Rockbridge Road, shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday and placed an order, according to Sgt. Stephen Weed. As the cashier opened the register to make change, the suspect pulled out a black handgun.
She then left the restaurant on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and entered a car waiting for her. She left the sandwich behind, Weed said. The plastic bag containing the sandwich is now being checked for fingerprints.
The woman is described as being 5-feet-5 inches tall and heavyset. She is a black female, Weed said.
The car was a blue 1996 or ‘97 Honda Civic, missing the passenger side, front hub cap. It was last seen traveling northbound on Rockbridge Road toward Dickens Road.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Lilburn Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division at 770-921-2211.
