3-year-old boy drowns in Lilburn
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
A 3-year-old Gwinnett County boy drowned in a swimming pool across the street from his home Monday afternoon, police said.
Eieox Ledezma wandered away from Springwood Drive home, off Burns Road, around 2:45 p.m., Lilburn police Capt. Bruce Hedley said. The child's mother called police and reported him missing.
Officers searching the area located Eieox's lifeless body in the pool around 4:20 p.m., Hedley said.
Police do not believe foul play is involved and do not expect to press charges, Hedley said. The neighbor's pool was in a fenced backyard, he said.
"It's just a tragic accident," Hedley told the AJC.
The medical examiner's office will determine the cause of death, Hedley said.
