Gun discharges in bookbag at Macon middle school

A spokesman for the Bibb County school system says a gun went off inside a bookbag at a middle school, leading to a lockdown at the school.
Craig Lockhart, an assistant school superintendent in Bibb County, says the gun went off Tuesday morning at Bloomfield Middle School study hall.
Lockhart says no one was injured.
Chris Floore, a spokesman for the Bibb County school system, says initial reports identified the weapon as a .38-caliber handgun.
Lockhart says the school immediately went into lockdown as campus security officers searched for other signs of danger.
Lockhart said a student was being questioned, but he didnt have details about the student's age or grade.
