TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — A Georgia man has been arrested after police found a 19-year-old unconscious from a fight on the University of Alabama campus.

The Tuscaloosa News reports Monday that the victim was listed in critical condition at DCH Regional Medical Center on Sunday night.

Capt. Loyd Baker, commander of the Tuscaloosa Metro Homicide Unit, said police responded to a call of a fight early Sunday morning and found the victim. The injured man's name has not been released.

Ryan Allan Lippitt was charged with first-degree assault. The 19-year-old suspect from Alpharetta, Ga., posted a $5,000 bail from the Tuscaloosa County Metro Jail on Sunday.

Baker said witnesses told police that multiple white males assaulted the victim and left the area.
