The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

An Atlanta man has been arrested on federal sex trafficking charges for prostituting three young girls, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney General’s office.

Demetrius Darnell Homer, 29, was arrested and arraigned Thursday in a U.S. magistrate court in North Georgia on three counts of sex trafficking, officials said. Homer is also charged with using force, fraud and coercion to incite one of the juveniles into prostitution.

Homer was detained without bond due to his violent and criminal past, officials said.

Homer assaulted one of the victims multiple times, authorities said.

The investigation was spearheaded by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

If convicted, Homer could be sentenced to life in prison.
