Fayette man held in wife's stabbing death
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
A Fayette County man surrendered to authorities Saturday to face charges in the stabbing death of his wife, the sheriff’s department said.
Jesus Ojeda Jimenez, 34, of Fayetteville is accused of killing his wife, Liliana, on Friday at their home on Greenview Circle.
Jimenez was being held Saturday at the Fayette County Jail, charged with murder.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to the north Fayette home Friday on a domestic disturbance call. They found Liliana Ruiz, 30, fatally wounded.
An eyewitness told deputies Jimenez had fled to a nearby residence, but when authorities entered it the husband was not there.
Family members said it was Jimenez’s decision to turn himself in Saturday. The sheriff’s department would not provide a possible motive for the slaying.
