George Strait will finish off his two-year farewell tour in the biggest house in his home state of Texas — the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium. The country superstar held a rare news conference Monday at the stadium to announce the last leg of his The Cowboy Rides Away tour. He announced he was retiring from the road last year but still plans to record, recently agreeing to a deal for five more studio albums. Strait will take a who’s who of country music on the road, including Merle Haggard, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow and Ronnie Dunn. The 61-year-old kicks off Jan. 9 and plans stops in Nashville, Los Angeles, Chicago and Foxborough, Mass., the first of two stadium shows to end the tour.

Daniel Radcliffe continued to evolve from his Harry Potter character with bold new roles, and he’s brought three of them to the Toronto International Film Festival. While they cover some adult themes like murder and homosexuality, Radcliffe says his current roles are not part of some strategy to abandon his past. Rather they’re about doing what actors do best: “Take chances.” Radcliffe said that he goes by his instincts and makes the kind of films that he would want to see. The 24-year-old actor spoke candidly about his movie roles during an interview for his new film, “Horns,” where he plays a man suspected of brutally killing his girlfriend and one morning awakens with a pair of horns on his head.

A trespassing charge has been dismissed against a Maine man accused of showing up at Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island vacation home. The Westerly Sun in Rhode Island reports that police decided to drop the charge after determining it would be difficult to prove that 55-year-old Joseph Bernatche of Portland, Maine, was on Swift’s property when he handed her security guard a note telling the singer to call him. Westerly police Lt. Phil Williams said it wasn’t clear whether the guard had passed onto public property when he accepted the note. Bernatche pleaded not guilty to the charge of willful trespass after his July 27 arrest. Judge Melanie Quirk in 4th Division District Court dismissed the charge on Friday.
