Metro Atlanta won't see any more rain until the weekend, but can see temperatures drop to the 40s, the National Weather Service predicts.

"Tuesday night, expect widespread mid- and upper 40s," forecaster Kent McMullin said late Sunday night.

Lows early Monday ranged from 56 in Cartersville and and 59 in Peachtree City to 63 at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Look for partly sunny skies and a high temperature around 80 on Monday, then cooler temperatures will move in. McMullen said to expect lows in the low 50s on Tuesday morning, with an afternoon high in the mid 70s.

Tuesday evening cooling will start in the northern suburbs and spread throughout the night, continuing through Wednesday morning with lows in the 40s, McMullen said.

By mid-day, he predicted temperatures would rise to the mid-70s.
