For the second time in as many months the Douglasville City Council has postponed a decision on removing coyotes spotted periodically roaming city streets.

City officials still are trying to determine the most cost-efficient and humane method of removing the animals.

Douglasville City Manager Bill Osborne told council members that the county had “no funds for coyote removal.”

Osborne said one of three firms that contacted the city in November wanted to charge nearly $500 for the first trap, $200 for each additional trap and $150 for every captured coyote.
