Deodorant thief hits Athens store again
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Thieves are really trying to stick it to an Athens drug store.
A week after a woman tried to steal 12 sticks of deodorant from an Alps Road store, a man was able to swipe nine sticks, The Athens Banner-Herald reported.
The man walked into the store Friday and grabbed four different brands of deodorant and stuffed them in his pants, the newspaper reported. Store employees hope video footage will help police identify the man, who ran out of the store.
The previous week, a woman picked up a prescription and then 12 sticks of deodorant, police said. A store employee was able to grab the bag of deodorant from the woman before she left the store.
