Woman shot and killed in south DeKalb

A woman was shot and killed early Tuesday at a south DeKalb County home, police said.

The shooting happened about 1 a.m. on Springside Ridge, in a neighborhood off Columbia Drive.
DeKalb police spokesman Jason Gagnon told WSB-TV that a man inside the house was detained by officers for questioning.
Two children were found unharmed in the home.
The identity of the woman who was killed was not immediately available. Police have not released a motive for the shooting.
