Police say a woman escaped injury Wednesday moments before a train crashed into her car near Stone Mountain.

The woman told officers her car stalled while she was crossing the tracks at East Ponce de Leon Avenue and Goldsmith Road on Wednesday morning, DeKalb County Police spokesman Officer Jason Gagnon told the AJC.

The woman saw the CSX train coming and abandoned her car, police said.

The conductor attempted to stop, but it was too late and he crashed into the car, police said.

No injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation, but police do not anticipate filing charges, Gagnon said.
