Atlanta Technical College and DeKalb Technical College are among the Georgia groups sharing a grant to train people in green jobs.

The grant, part of the federal stimulus plan, will spend about $1 million to provide 200 people in south DeKalb with skills in weatherization, construction and solar energy. The goal is to offer work-readiness training and other skills to provide a way out of poverty.

Other groups working on the project include: DeKalb Workforce Development, St. Philip AME Church and the Housing Authority of DeKalb County.
