The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A Dunwoody High School junior who organized a student group after finding difficulties in parking on the school campus has been appointed to the city’s transportation advisory board.

Nicole Anderson is the first student on a Dunwoody board. Councilman John Heneghan nominated Anderson, who will represent a younger viewpoint as the city moves forward with a comprehensive look at roadways and transportation in the city in the coming year.

Anderson launched a student group arguing for on-street parking, after residents tried to keep students away from their roads. The city allows student parking or any on-street parking, unless otherwise specifically prohibited.
