DeKalb County's top police brass will visit a neighborhood south of Eastlake Thursday to hear from residents.

Public Safety Director William "Wiz" Miller, the top public safety official in the cabinet of county CEO Burrell Ellis, is expected to accompany acting Police Chief William O'Brien and several high-ranking officers to a meeting with the Greystone Park Community Association, said Sarah Copelin-Wood, a resident who helped coordinate the event.

"This is an opportunity for the community to receive and share information with the police administration," said Copelin-Wood, who also serves on the county school board. "We're hoping our people will feel better and more safe after having a chance to interact with the police administration."

The meeting is at 7 p.m. at R.E. McNair Middle School, 2190 Wallingford Dr. near Decatur.
