Motive unknown in pregnant woman's slaying
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
DeKalb County police say they have no motive in the killing of a pregnant woman early Sunday.
The woman was identified Tuesday as Daysha Lucear, 21. She was killed and her husband, Chris Brock, 24, wounded when shots were fired outside an apartment complex.
Two men opened fire on the couple at the Retreat at Stonecrest Apartments on Amanda Drive near Lithonia around 2 a.m., according to Darrien Thomas, spokesman for DeKalb County police. Witnesses told police the husband and wife had gotten out of their vehicle and were walking toward Building 300 when they were ambushed.
The two suspects then left the complex in a vehicle. Police said they have not identified the suspects yet.
The woman's baby was delivered by doctors at the hospital, but he did not survive, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Brock's condition was not immediately available.
