Pregnant women, healthcare workers and others in priority risk groups for swine flu can get vaccinated Saturday in DeKalb County.

The county Board of Health will administer 2,500 injectable doses, says the office of DeKalb CEO Burrell Ellis. Other eligible groups include people who are around babies under 6-months-old at work or at home, people aged 6 months to 24 years and older people with medical conditions placing them at risk for influenza-related complications.

The mass vaccination clinic is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the former Devry University campus, 250 North Arcadia Rd., Decatur. The vaccine will go on a first-come, first-served basis. The shots are free, though government plans or private insurers may charge. Bring an insurance card and the immunization record of any child to be vaccinated.
