The first incident happened about noon at Hudson Grille, while the second occurred about four hours later at the Goldfish restaurant, Dunwoody police Sgt. Michael Carlson said.
Carlson said both restaurants are in the same shopping center, and the 29- and 63-year-old victims had hung their purses on the backs of their chairs.
"The suspects took their wallets from their purses and attempted to purchase gift cards at a nearby Target located at 100 Perimeter Center Place," Carlson said.
The first suspect was a black male with medium complexion, about 5 feet, 11 inches to 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighing about 185 pounds and wearing glasses, Carlson said.
He described the second suspect as a black female in her late 20s or early 30s, about 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall and with a light complexion.
Carlson asked that anyone with information on the suspects call investigators at 678-382-6912.
