A water main break has temporarily closed Dunwoody High and Elementary schools for Wednesday, a DeKalb County schools spokesman said.

Students were taken by bus to two other area schools, a city news release said.

High school juniors taking the Georgia High School Graduation Writing Test were able to finish the test, according to that news release.

The water main break happened on Vermack Road, and as a result, water wasn’t flowing to either of the schools, DeKalb County schools spokesman Jeff Dickerson said.

“I expect things to be back to normal tomorrow,” he told the AJC.

Students at Dunwoody High School were taken to Peachtree Charter Middle School for the day. They will leave from Peachtree Charter at the end of the day, the city news release said.

Dunwoody Elementary School students were taken to Chamblee Middle School for classes. At the end of the day, they will return to Dunwoody Elementary, according to the city.
