DeKalb police looking for fatal hit-and-run driver
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
DeKalb County police are searching for a white car that was involved in a deadly hit and run Tuesday night.
Margaret Henderson, 58, was walking east on North Decatur Road around 7 p.m., when she was struck by the car, DeKalb police spokesman Jason Gagnon said.
The eastbound car hit Henderson, then turned around and drove west back down North Decatur, Gagnon said. The incident occurred near Landover Drive, in unincorporated DeKalb nearĀ Decatur.
Henderson, who lived in a nearby apartment complex, was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.
Police are questioning witnesses, and believe Henderson was walking in the roadway, Gagnon said.
There are no cross walks in the area, and Gagnon said the area was dark.
No other description for the car has been given other than the color.
Police ask that anyone with information about the incident call the DeKalb County P0lice at 404-294-2000.
