Apartment fire out, cat saved
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
No one was hurt though the 10-unit Chatsworth Apartments sustained significant damage Friday. Best of all, at least for Jirrod Green, the cat known as Snowy was saved.

Green said he received a hysterical call from his wife early in the afternoon, telling him that their home, along with the homes of nine others, was burning.
When he got there, he found a two-alarm fire that required six engines and four truck companies. There were flames coming from the roof of the apartments to North Hill Parkway, off North Peachtree Road and south of I-285.
Yet firefighters had it under control within about an hour after they arrived before 12:30 p.m.
The damage appeared extensive, yet some residents were still hoping their units could be repaired.
“Hopefully, my apartment will just have smoke and water damage,” resident Pamm Burdett told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as she stood near the burned building.
Green said when he got to the apartment building, he was certain he had lost the family cat. Then he saw paramedics administering oxygen through a mask to a “little white thing,” which was Snowy.
“The cat’s alright,” Green said. “Everybody’s alright. The kids were at school. And the cat’s alright.”
