3rd Dunwoody bank robbery in as many weeks
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Police are looking for a man who robbed a Dunwoody bank late Thursday morning.
Dunwoody police spokesman Sgt. Mike Carlson said the white man walked into the Bank of America at 2454 Jett Ferry Road just before noon.
He handed a demand note to a bank teller and was able to leave the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, Carson said.
The man, who was described as being in his late 20s to early 30s, was seen running south through the bank parking lot, police said.
The man was wearing a light blue Nike baseball cap, sunglasses, a green plaid shirt and light blue pants or jeans, police said.
Just a week ago, a Dunwoody Wachovia Bank branch roughly three miles away was robbed -- for the second time -- in a similar fashion by a white man fitting the same description.
Carlson said investigators are not ruling out the possibility that the same man from the previous robbery, and earlier robberies throughout north Fulton County, is behind Thursday's heist.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information from this robbery is asked to call Det. Curtis Clifton at 678-382-6912.
