Video obtained Wednesday by Channel 2 Action News shows the moments before a local rapper was killed.

Bankroll Fresh, whose real name was Trentavious White, died in a shooting at Street Execs recording studio in southwest Atlanta last March.

White, best known for his single “Hot Boy,” was affiliated with another local rapper, 2 Chainz.

Investigators said several guns were involved in what may have been a case of self-defense, but police believe White may have fired the first shot, Channel 2 reported.

White is seen on video holding an assault rifle and Atlanta homicide detective Major Adam Lee said police aren’t sure who was defending whom.

“We're trying to decipher if that person who is claiming self-defense truly was defending themselves,” Lee told Channel 2.

In August, rapper No Plug admitted publicly that he fired shots in self-defense.

While the case is still open, Atlanta police have turned the investigation over to the District Attorney’s office, which released a statement:

"We are considering additional evidence we discovered in this case. Because of this information, we have not been able to make a decision by the original deadline. Once we reach a decision, we will notify the families and then the public."
