A man accused of fatally shooting a victim at a New Jersey home in May could be hiding out in the metro Atlanta area, FBI officials said.

Dennis M. Cunningham, also known as Muhamad, faces murder and an unlawful flight to avoid prosecution charges, FBI Special Agent Stephen Emmett said Wednesday in a news release.

Officials said Cunningham, 48, shot and killed Dino Bermudez, 34, on May 12 on the front porch of an Irvington, New Jersey, home. Bermudez was shot in the left thigh and was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Cunningham was described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and 215 pounds. Emmett said Cunningham has family in Douglasville and has ties to Jesup.
