Four men kicked their way into a Coweta County home, tied up the homeowner and threw him into a bathtub, police said.

One of them didn’t wear a mask.

Albert Gates, the victim’s great uncle, told Channel 2 Action News the attack scared him. His nephew was beaten with a pistol and left bruised and bloody.

Detectives told the television station the four men ransacked the home before leaving.

Palmetto Police Chief Randy Mundy said the incident was more vicious than other attacks in the city.

“We have experience with armed robberies and burglaries like any other town has, but this nature we have not seen,” Mundy told Channel 2.

Police describe the man who wasn’t wearing a mask as about 6-foot-4, with a large, stocky build, medium complexion and a small amount of chin hair. He also had what was described as a low “brush style” haircut and the victim said his eyes appeared closer together than normal.

He has tattoos on his neck, three tear drop tattoos on his left eye and a red star tattooed on the corner of his forehead.
