Gwinnett teen arrested in shooting death of Lilburn man

Two people, including a 17-year-old Tucker boy, have been arrested in connection with the weekend shooting death of a 23-year-old man, Lilburn police said Monday.

Just before 9:45 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to the Woodcliff Apartments, where they found Andrej Udovicic with a gunshot wound to his upper body, Lilburn police Capt. Thomas Bardugon said. Udovicic was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center-Lawrenceville, where he was pronounced dead.

Malachi Smith and Diamonique Murry-Jackson are being held at the were arrested on charges of tampering with evidence and reckless conduct, Bardugon said. Murry-Jackson, 26, of Snellville, was also charged with possession of more than an ounce of marijuana.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. May 26 at the Gwinnett County Jail, where Smith and Murry-Jackson are being held without bond.
