Six people are in custody and one man is at large in connection with gun thefts from a Forsyth County pawn shop, officials said.
The man still on the loose is believed to have left the area in Alpharetta where the suspects’ vehicle crashed after a chase, police said. He was identified as Altavious Jackson, 32.
“One suspect out of seven remains at large,” Alpharetta police spokesman George Gordon said early Saturday afternoon after authorities called off the search. “We believe he has left the area.”
Early Saturday, people rammed a vehicle into Forsyth County Pawn on Atlanta Road, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Police chased the suspects into Alpharetta, where their vehicle crashed, the station said. Authorities were searching a silver pickup truck at the crash site, according to Channel 2.
Several guns were recovered at the crash site, which was in the area of Deerfield Parkway and Morris Road, police said.

More than 75 officers were involved in the search, Channel 2 reported. Agencies included Alpharetta police, Milton police and Forsyth County sheriff’s deputies.
A Georgia State Patrol helicopter also was involved.
“Thank you to Forsyth, Milton and the GSP helicopter unit for their participation,” Gordon said. “I believe no other three agencies could have captured six out of seven suspects so quickly.”
The break-in woke up an employee who was staying at the pawn shop overnight, police said.
