DeKalb County police are investigating a homicide after a sanitation worker found a body wrapped in plastic.

A week after a sanitation worker found a man’s body wrapped in plastic in DeKalb County, the DeKalb County Medical Examiner released the victim’s identity.

Steven Blevins, 23, died of multiple gunshot wounds, officials said.

According to DeKalb police spokeswoman Shiera Campbell, the sanitation worker found Blevins’ body about 8 a.m. Feb. 20 in the area of Flat Shoals Parkway and Warriors Path near Decatur.

No other details were released.
