Chamblee police arrested three men in connection with an armed robbery after the victim followed the suspects’ vehicle.
Just after midnight Wednesday, officers responded to a robbery call near the entrance of the Buford Lodge in the 4800 block of Buford Highway, spokesman Capt. Ernesto Ford said.
The victim told the dispatcher that he was robbed at gunpoint, and that the suspect drove off in a silver vehicle, Ford said. The victim followed the vehicle in his car. While still on the phone with dispatchers, the victim provided the tag number and the direction the vehicle was traveling.
Police found the vehicle in the 3000 block of Buford Highway, and three people were inside, Ford said.
They ran into nearby woods and were captured with help from Brookhaven and Doraville police dogs, Ford said. The victim identified one of the suspects as the person who robbed him.
Chika Ohaya, Devonte Thompkins and Joshua Meyers will face various charges, Ford said.
