Gov. Sonny Perdue and Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle will headline a $1,000-a-head reception for U.S. Sen. John McCain next week in Atlanta.
McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, will attend the event at the Westin Buckhead on Thursday.
The host committee is a who's-who of Georgia Republicans, including several who supported other candidates in the Feb. 5 presidential primary.
U.S. Reps. Phil Gingrey and Tom Price, for example, backed former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
Perdue and Cagle, however, did not endorse in the primary and have yet to publicly commit to McCain. Their spokesmen could not immediately say if their hosting of this event signifies an endorsement.
VIP tickets to the reception are $2,300, with $1,000 getting you in the door.
Other members of the host committee include House Speaker Glenn Richardson (R-Hiram), who originally endorsed former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani for president, but backed McCain once Giuliani dropped out.
Senate President Pro Tem Eric Johnson (R-Savannah) is also on the host committee, despite having endorsed former U.S. Sen. Fred Thompson of Tennessee and then Romney.
