The John Lewis mystery continues.
Nearly a week after the Georgia Democratic congressman was quoted in The New York Times saying he would support Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination, Lewis has yet to clarify comments by his staff the next day that the Times story was "inaccurate." Lewis had endorsed Hillary Clinton in what has become an tight race for the nomination.

Lewis' spokeswoman again Tuesday did not respond to requests for an explanation. In public appearances since the story broke, Lewis has refused to answer questions about the situation.
