A record number of students at The University of Georgia died this academic year from causes ranging from cancer to car crashes.
UGA lost 24 students over the course of the year, the highest number in recent history.

UGA will honor the students and the 13 staff members and three faculty members who died during the year at the university's annual candlelight vigil at 7 p.m. April 29 at the University Chapel.
The service has been held every year since 2000.
"These kinds of losses are gut-wrenching," UGA President Michael Adams said at a university cabinet meeting Wednesday.
Adams said the service provides comfort to parents, family and friends of the deceased students and UGA employees. Each name is read, followed by a toll of a bell.
The university chapel bell, which has been broken since the UGA/Auburn game this fall, will be replaced with a bell from a dining hall for the service.
Adams said the 173-year-old chapel bell is being repaired at a foundry.
