The blogosphere is bursting with news, opinions, rants and ramblings about Georgia politics. Log on and take a whirl. Post a comment, if you like. This isn't a definitive list, just a sampling. Many of these blogs offer links to even more blogs.

Peach Pundit, peachpundit.com, "fresh political pickins from the Peach State," with Macon Republican Erick Erickson and guest bloggers from other camps.

Political Vine, politicalvine.com, "the home of political news, satire, rants, and rumors," from Cobb County citizen Republican Bill Simon.

JasonPye.Com, a blog "to talk about local, state and national news from a capitalist's perspective," by Pye, chairman of the Libertarian Party of Georgia.

The Buzz Report, buzzbrockway.com, from Gwinnett GOP activist Buzz Brockway, who says he likes to blog "about exciting stuff like tax policy."

Thinking Right, ajc.com/thinkingright, AJC associate editorial page editor Jim Wooten's conservative commentary.

Left of center

Georgia Politics Unfiltered, georgiaunfiltered/blogspot.com, the creation of Georgia State University student Andre Walker, a Democrat with an independent streak.

Blog for Democracy, blogfordemocracy.org, a passionate group blog "all about progressive politics" in Georgia. As noted on the site, it's "not for sissies."

Georgia Women Vote!, georgiawomenvote.blogspot.com, focuses on women's issues and encouraging female candidates. Amy Morton, a Macon marriage and family therapist, is the chief blogger.

Opportunity for Georgia, opportunityforgeorgia.com, the official blog for the Democratic Party of Georgia.

LeftyBlogs, leftyblogs.com/georgia, to find out "what's happening" in the progressive blogosphere in Georgia.

Other

The American Politic, americanpolitic.com tries to present "an objective mix of nonpartisan political news and commentary" and to "raise the admittedly low bar of political discourse" on the Web. Founded by Atlantan Joe Magyer, a Libertarian who's a research analyst at an investment bank.

Political Insider, at ajc.com, "buzz from the backrooms, war rooms and the Gold Dome" from AJC reporters Tom Baxter and Jim Galloway.
