Two more Gwinnett County cops have resigned over a Waffle House stun-gun incident that has one officer behind bars.

Christopher T. Parry, 41, and Joey T. Parkerson, 39, were on-duty and present on Feb. 16, when former officer Gary Miles Jr. allegedly used a Taser without provocation on a Waffle House employee, police said.

Former Gwinnett Police Sgt. Christopher Parry also resigned from the force Friday after being sited with ‘conduct unbecoming an officer’ for not reporting another officer’s unprovoked use of a stun gun against a Waffle House employee.

Parry and Parkerson, both sergeants, stepped down Friday amid an internal investigation that led to Miles’ arrest on Thursday, police said.

Among other department violations, Parkerson and Parry have been cited with “conduct unbecoming an officer,” Gwinnett police spokeswoman Illana Spellman said.

“The fact that they did not report [Miles], discipline him or notify anyone through the chain of command is a complete violation,” Spellman said.

Parry has been with Gwinnett police 14 years, and Parkerson has 13 years on the force.

The three officers were at the Waffle House at 2725 Loganville Highway when the incident happened, police said.

Miles resigned earlier in the week, and has been charged with battery and with violating his oath as an officer.

Neither Parkerson nor Parry will face criminal charges, police said.

The administrative investigation is still ongoing, Spellman said.
