The man who plunged to his death Monday afternoon from a Spaghetti Junction overpass left a letter of apology for loved ones, authorities said.
DeKalb Police said Ankit Dinech Majmundar, 23, of McDonough, left a letter addressed to his family in his car before jumping.

"He said to his family that he was sorry," DeKalb Police spokesman Marcus Hodge said.
A DeKalb officer, driving north on I-85, saw the body falling from the overpass at around 4:15 p.m. No vehicles were hit, and no cars struck the victim, Hodge said.
Majmundar parked his car on the exit ramp leading from I-285 to I-85 northbound, fell an estimated 60 to 70 feet onto I-285, dying on impact, Hodge said. No foul play is suspected.
No one else was injured in the incident, which briefly shut down the Perimeter's westbound lanes, said Department of Transportation spokesman Bryan Gunter.
Majmundar was an engineer with Southwire, a Carrollton-based communications-equipment manufacturer, said a family member who declined to discuss the incident.
Highway jumpers seem to come in cycles.
In April 2004, a man stood on an overpass above I-75/85 on the south side of Atlanta and threatened to leap. This incident was followed by at least two others within a few weeks, although all three of the individuals were talked down.
The man who killed himself Monday didn't give authorities any such opportunity.
