Maybe a card would have been safer. A dispute between two brothers over a graduation gift turned violent, according to Cobb County Police, when one of the brothers shot the other.
Police went to a home in the 1900 block of Meadowbrook Lane around 11:30 Saturday night following a report that a man had been shot.
Investigators learned the brothers had argued about a cash graduation gift one had received from the other. The amount of cash was not disclosed.
The gift-giving brother ordered his sibling to leave his home and then closed the door, said police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce. That’s when the angry sibling fired a shot through a window, hitting his brother in the back, Pierce said.
The alleged shooter, whose name was not released, remains at large, Pierce said.
The spokesman said the victim was treated at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital and is expected to recover.
