Fulton DA wants BMW driver’s bond revoked

Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard is trying to get bond revoked for Aimee Michael, the woman charged in the Easter Sunday hit-and-run wreck that killed five people.
Howard told WSB-TV that his office has received reports that Michael has been going out at night, a violation of her bail agreement. She was released from jail May 9 and is currently under house arrest.
“Citizens complained to us that she was not at home,” Howard told WSB. “She should not be on bond.”
Howard said he was stunned when he contacted the monitoring company that is tracking Michael’s house arrest.
“We discovered that they did not have a number to call to report if she was really missing,” he said.
Michael, 22, has confessed that she was driving the champagne-colored BMW that set off a chain-reaction crash April 12 that killed four people in one car and a 6-year-old girl in another, authorities said.
Police said that Michael drove away from the devastation on Camp Creek Parkway that Easter afternoon.
Michael was charged with five counts of homicide by vehicle, one count of failure to maintain lane and one count of serious injury by vehicle, hit and run.
Michael’s mother, Sheila, 52, has been charged with tampering with evidence and obstruction for allegedly trying to have the BMW repaired before Aimee was arrested.
