Mint juleps are traditional, but there are other options for celebrating a day at the races, whether at Churchill Downs or in front of the TV. This cocktail's deep color is inspired by the garland of roses presented in the victory circle to the winner of the Kentucky Derby, which takes place May 7.

1 ounce Crown Royal

1/2 ounce amaretto

1 ounce pineapple juice

1/4 ounce cranberry juice

3 dashes angostura bitters

Maraschino cherry

Fill a cocktail shaker two-thirds full of ice and add Crown Royal, amaretto, pineapple and cranberry juice and bitters. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and add maraschino cherry for garnish.
