Cancer touches us all. According to the American Cancer Society, men have a 50 percent chance of developing cancer; for women, the risk is 1 in 3. Blame it on the environment, diet or genetics, but nearly everyone in metro Atlanta knows of someone fighting cancer or who lost the fight.
What is your cancer tale? Who was diagnosed? How was she or he an inspiration to you?
Tell us. September is ovarian cancer awareness month, and October breast cancer, but cancer affects lives every month, every minute. Cancer happens now. Ajc.com/health would like to hear your cancer tale. Triumph, survival, loss, grief, renewal.
Email us your story: CYOO@AJC.COM. And tell us: The person's name that you're writing about. How long ago were you (or the person you're writing about) diagnosed? What happened? How has your life changed?
And, please attach his or her photos.
