Kaplan Inc., an education services company, will bring 75 new jobs to Alpharetta and has signed a lease for a 96,000-square-foot building on Windward Ridge Parkway.

New York-based Kaplan currently houses nearly 350 employees at a 34,000-square-foot facility on Brookside Parkway, also in Alpharetta, which it has occupied since 2005.

Employees there offer financial, regulatory and compliance support service to Kaplan’s higher education business, Kaplan said. They will move to the new building in September.

“Kaplan continues to grow and expand as a company,” Allison Rutledge-Parisi, chief administrative officer, said in a statement.

“The move to the new office will bring new jobs to provide finance, financial aid, compliance and administrative positions to various Kaplan businesses,” she said.

In addition to the Alpharetta office, Kaplan has about 550 employees throughout the Atlanta area, including faculty and staff at Bauder College.

“A lot of people are going to be working in Alpharetta and that’s good news,” said Jimmy Glenn, managing partner and president of Southprop Inc., the Atlanta-based real estate development company that owns and manages the property at 1015 Windward Ridge Parkway.

“It’s a good, long-term deal,” he said. “The great thing about the deal is neither the county nor the state had to contribute anything to it. We didn’t ask for incentives. It’s a win-win for everybody.”
