COLUMBUS — Kia auto supplier Johnson Controls will be in Columbus on Saturday seeking 100 qualified production workers for its 130,000-square-foot plant being built in West Point.
The Milwaukee-based company said the jobs will pay $9.50 to $11 an hour, depending on duties and work experience.
The job fair will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Georgia Department of Labor’s Columbus Career Center.
The plant will make seat systems and door panels for the Kia Sorento sport utility vehicle that will be assembled at the main Kia plant in West Point.
When the Johnson Controls plant is in full operation, it will employ about 300. Those are among the estimated 7,500 Kia parts supplier jobs coming to the area.
