A College Park police officer tested positive for cocaine use while on duty, WSB-TV reports.

Former Officer Gary Clements failed a drug test after backing his patrol car into another police car while carrying two prisoners.

He resigned to avoid being fired.

Clements told police he had the drug in his system after he taste-tested the drug he confiscated from suspects who eluded him, reportedly.

But College Park Mayor Jack Longino told WSB he wants Clements to be fired and charged with driving while under the influence of narcotics.
